Wordbank achieves ISO 9001 certification for localization services
18 November 2003:
Leading European marcoms localization specialist, Wordbank Limited, has achieved ISO 9001 certification for its London office from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA). This confirms that
Wordbank’s quality management system for the delivery of its localization services meets the requirements of this international standard.
Kevin Grant-Dalton, Wordbank CEO, commenting on Wordbank’s certification, said, “While quality has always been one of our core values, the achievement of this international quality standard has involved a year of hard work and a rigorous review and fine-tuning of our internal processes to meet the standards demanded by LRQA.
“Whilst we are justly proud of our achievement, our quest for ever-improving quality does not end with certification and we will continue to review all our services and processes to ensure that we consistently meet our clients’ needs for marcoms localization that is cost-effective, linguistically excellent, and delivered on time.
“Linguistic excellence is the heart of effective communication. There is no substitute for localized translations that genuinely ‘speak the same language’ as the reader from every cultural perspective. This is why it is so important to us to achieve an internationally recognised and respected quality standard that reassures clients that quality management at Wordbank is not just an empty mantra.”
