Wordbank has more than 100 staff in its London office consisting of an eclectic mix of linguists, project managers, technologists, and sales and marketing professionals. Below are brief biographies of Wordbank's senior management team.
Kevin Grant-Dalton, Chief Executive Officer
Kevin worked in the City of London for over 30 years, in the latter years working in the Oil Insurance business, on the board of Steel Burrill Jones plc and as Managing Director of the Marine Division. Prior to this, he built and became Director of Regis Low Ltd, together with two partners, with a turnover of £15 million. Kevin joined the board of Wordbank in 1996 and became CEO in 1998.
Gordon Husbands, VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing
Gordon has more than 20 years' experience in successful sales, consulting and business management, dealing with large national and international companies within the IT, telecoms and service industries having worked for British Aerospace, Thorn EMI, GEC and Digital Equipment. Gordon was introduced to Wordbank as a Sales & Marketing Consultant in 1995 and joined the board two years later as Sales & Marketing Director.
Claire Ingram, Assistant Director, Production
Claire has a BA in Scandinavian Studies and an MA in Translation. She joined Wordbank in 1997 as a Project Manager working on many different client accounts before being promoted to Account Manager where she built and managed one of Wordbank's major account project teams. As a result of her extensive experience of managing complex multilingual offline and online projects, Claire was appointed Head of Production which involves directing and supporting all the project teams to ensure that they are appropriately resourced, that all processes are geared towards achieving high productivity and quality, and always meet client deadlines.
Lydia Stone, Assistant Director, Technical & Linguistic Services
Lydia has a BA in Spanish and Portuguese and an MA in Translation. She spent 3 years project managing multimedia and web based projects at Wordbank and, moving firmly into the technical arena, was appointed IT Services Manager in 2003. Following her comprehensive experience managing Wordbank's IT Services teams, Lydia was promoted to Assistant Director, Technical and Linguistic Services in 2007. She currently oversees Wordbank's linguistic, technical and media based teams and is dedicated to the use of technology in improving productivity. An important part of her role is to ensure Wordbank's adaptation to the complex technological environment facing the localization industry.
Lindsay Johnson, Chief Operating Officer, Wordbank LLC
Lindsay is a Business Management graduate with ten years' experience in private sector organisations in the UK and US. Lindsay joined Wordbank in 1996 and, heavily focused on business solutions and workflow management, began work on developing Wordbank's information management systems. She went on to manage Wordbank's Technical Services for 3 years, handling the delivery of all media based and consultancy services. Now managing Wordbank's US Operation, Lindsay is focussed on growing and developing Wordbank LLC.
